We are Furry Down Under (more often known as FurDU), Australia’s largest and longest-running furry convention. Held on the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, we’re host to an incredible group furries from across the country and the globe.
We’ve been at this since our humble beginnings in 2010, with under 100 attendees at our first event. Our 2025 event saw us welcome 2086 furs from around the world, continuously evolving our community and the experiences on offer. We also raised almost $30,000 AUD for Wildlife Empire; some truly outstanding numbers hallmarking the incredible generosity and work our community stands behind.
When and where?
In 2026, FurDU will take place at Crowne Plaza and Oaks Surfers Paradise on the stunning Gold Coast, Queensland. We’re right in the hub of some of the best beaches in the world, with tourist attractions easily accessible by tram or a short walk.
Our community
FurDU is a celebration of the diverse genre we call the furry fandom, built for the community, by the community. We’re a passionate group of volunteers who strive to create good vibes and a welcoming, respectful, and entertaining environment for everyone with a passion for anthropomorphic culture and arts.
Our events run with community values at the core of what we do, encouraging respect, safety, and celebration of our members coming from all walks of life.
